Hannah was trying to find an excuse to eat a peppermint.
Hannah: I really need it my nose is homesick!

Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep ...
Julie went shopping with the neighbor last night. When I was putting Hannah down, she had an interesting prayer.
Hannah: Thank you God for this day and for everything. Thank you for my teacher and Mimi and Pops and Grannie and Grandpa. Help Mama and Melissa have fun shopping and find everything they want. Amen.

Rock the Vote
I guess there are worse ways to pick a president.
60 Minutes came on after the football game last night. The above picture popped up. I paused the tv, pointed at Obama and Romney and asked Hannah who she thought we should vote for. She picked Obama.

A few minutes later, Libby looked at the tv and saw the second image. She immediately started blowing raspberries at the tv.
DISCLAIMER: This is not meant to reflect my views or denigrate those of anyone else. I just thought it was hilarious that a 5-year-old and nearly-2-year-old reached the same conclusions just from looking at the guys.

Hannah was rattling off letter sounds a few days ago.
Me: You're doing so good Hannah how did you learn this so fast?
Hannah: At kindergarten

Hairspray
Julie has a lot of old baby stuff in the van that she's going to take to goodwill. Hannah found an old baby blanket and wrapped it around her head.
Me: Get that off your head, silly.
Hannah: Awwwww, but I'm having a delicious hair day.

Hannah: You know ive been trying to kiss jack but him won't let me
Julie: I didn't know that why do you want to kiss him
Hannah: Bc he's the most fanciest boy ever
Julie: What makes him fancy
Hannah: Well he wears shorts with shirts and he has hair with bangs and two ears one on each side and cheeks...
Julie: You know you're not supposed to be kissing at school
Hannah: Well its ok I just wanna kiss his cheek

A Rose by Any Other Name
We found out who Hannah's Kindergarten teacher will be today.
Me: Hannah, can you say Miss McDonald?
Hannah: Miss McDonald
Me: Good, that's what you're gonna call your teacher.
Hannah: ... But that's not really a name.
Me: Yes it is, it's her last name. Like Cottrell is your last name.
Hannah: and Miss is her first name!
